INVASIVE AND NATIVE PLANTS OF LOUISIANA AND MISSISSIPPI

Saturday, July 27, 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

With the Arboretum’s mission focused on the native flora of the Pearl River Drainage Basin in Mississippi and Louisiana, we are pleased to offer this program with David Baker, Environmental Curator of A Studio in the Woods/Tulane ByWater Institute. David will discuss the region’s native and invasive species and the impact that hurricanes have on their movement and growth, as well as the plight the gulf south is now facing with Chinese Tallow, Chinese Privet, and the lack of fire management. Members $3, non-members $5. Reservations requested. Please call to register.
