FIELD BOTANY WALK of Crosby Exhibits: Dr. Janet Wright

Saturday, August 24, 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Prepare to develop new eyes, and to hone your other senses! Join us for a late summer botany field walk at the Arboretum with field botanist and ecologist Dr. Janet Wright. It’s a colorful season, and she will identify the showy “late bloomers” in several of our habitats. In addition, she will point out the less flashy: the grasses, sedges and mosses that are often overlooked but that structure those classic Coast habitats. Use of the free iNaturalist app to help identify and document our discoveries is encouraged. If you download the app and set up an account ahead of time, you’ll be able to use it on our walk. Members $4, non-members $8. Registration required. Program is limited to 12 persons.
