FORGE DAY: Blacksmithing & Metalworking Demonstrations 2025
Saturday, February 8, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Our amazing Blacksmiths and Knife Makers will still be on hand to demonstrate their skills, sell their wares, and oversee guests who would like to try their hand at the forge.
Come meet Paul LeBatard, Seth J. Borries, Larry House, Jared Kattengell, and other members of the Gulf Coast Blacksmith Association and the Gulf States Knife Makers Association.
Our artisans will also be offering free knife sharpening!!
If you would like to be invited to work with a Blacksmith on forging, please wear close-toed shoes and long pants (no synthetic clothing - jeans and a cotton shirt are best). Glasses must be worn and we have safety glasses to lend to our participants if needed. You will need to sign a risk waiver and please register to forge as soon as you arrive. Older children are welcome with parental consent.
And...come meet Picayune Mayor Jim Luke! Mayor Luke will be available from 10:30 to 12:30 to sign his new book "Gateway to Picayune's Prosperity".
Our vendors will include: The Sugary Sweet Homestead (sourdough breads), Kickin' and Lickin' BBQ, Scooter's Kitchen, and Gulf Coast Coffee.
There is an entry fee: $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and military, $2 for children 12 and under. We will have a craft room set up for our younger guests.
