SMART LANDSCAPES: Using Native Plants in the Home Landscape

Saturday, March 8, 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

Learn about the many benefits of using native plant species in your landscape, from their low-maintenance qualities to supporting wildlife, promoting home energy savings, and contributing to healthy local watersheds. Create gardens that will come alive with movement, and contribute to your own health and well-being, and serve to connect you to the natural world. Learn how such low-care landscapes will save you time and money, work with your property’s ecological processes, and contribute to local biodiversity. Spend more time appreciating your garden and not laboring in it, with Arboretum Director Pat Drackett. Members attend free. Program is $10 for non-members.
