Strawberries & Cream Festival 2025

Bring your friends and family out to celebrate the history of the Crosby Arboretum’s former use as a Depression-era strawberry farm. Enjoy live music, crafts and a children’s cupcake decorating booth, photo opportunities, fresh strawberries, ice cream, Picayune Frog Lemonade, three miles of hiking trails through native plants showing off for spring, and much more! The event will take place at our Pinecote Pavilion, Visitor’s Center, and in our event “Loop”. Free Admission, Free Strawberries, Free Ice Cream! While supplies last. 

At the Festival, please enter through the main entrance, check-in and head to the pavilion for strawberries & ice cream…our treat!

Our children’s cupcake decorating and craft booth (aka Cupcake Central) will be in the Loop near the Visitor Center. All children ages 15 and under are welcome to participate. Cupcakes & decorations, as well as other crafts and supplies, will be provided at the event. The cupcake challenge: children are to decorate a cupcake celebrating Native Mississippi Flowers. Our Master Gardeners will be on hand with knowledge and photos of native plants to help children with their native plant choice. Once their cupcake is decorated, they will simply need to show off their artwork to a Master Gardener and tell them a little bit about the plant they chose as their inspiration. Once they have made their presentation, each participant will be awarded a special gift. You may take your cupcake with you or eat it right on the spot!!

Take advantage of our photo ops! The 1931 Ford Model A truck surrounded by strawberry crates is always great for a photo. Overalls, hats, and other props will be available to use for photos at no charge. There are other photos op areas as well. Keep your eye out, BigFoot visits the Arboretum on occasion, and we know how much he loves strawberries and ice cream!
