Kitchen Hydroponics: Easy and Fun and Affordable!

            Thursday, March 19th,10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Join guest speaker Diana Thornton and learn how to get started with the Kratky Method.

Grow your own food in a jar (or yogurt container or whatever you have around the house) and learn about hydroponics.

No kits, no pumps, no electricity (off-grid friendly!), minimal maintenance and low cost make the Kratky method ideal for beginner hydroponic gardeners.

Join us for a 1-hour workshop and leave with your own starter system.

What you’ll learn:

  • The basics of hydroponics (Plants, Water, Light, Oxygen/Air)
  • The Jar Setup: how to build a functioning garden out of repurposed containers.
  • The Grocery Store Secret: How to turn kitchen scraps (like lettuce hearts and green onions) into a continuous fresh harvest.

Designed for anyone (ages 8 and up) who wants fresh food at their fingertips without the high cost or maintenance of a traditional garden. Materials provided.

Members $5; non-members $10
