Guided Forest Therapy Walks 11/21/21

Sunday, November 21, 2021 - 9:30am to 12:00pm

Sunday, November 21, 9:30 a.m. to Noon

We are pleased to announce our fall series of guided Forest Therapy sessions led by Nadine Phillips, INFTA-Certified Forest Therapy Guide in training. Throughout the time, you will be walking slowly and in quietness, and spend some time sitting. The activities offered will enable you to relax and calm down your busy mind so you can best receive the medicine of the forest. Inspired by the Japanese term Shinrin-yoku or “forest immersion”, Forest Therapy is an easeful and de-stressing natural practice which offers many health benefits to mind and body. This inviting way of immersing our senses in the atmosphere of the forest is backed by significant medical and scientific research – and the plethora of health benefits are wide-reaching. Forest Therapy is now considered a natural remedy to reduce stress and a pathway to a happier, healthier and more rewarding life. There will be 8 spaces available in each session. Call 601-799-2311 to sign up (pay on the day of the program). These events will take place even in rainy weather. If it is necessary to cancel due to inclement weather, you will be notified the morning of the program by 8:30 a.m. Reservations are required. Members $10; non-members $15.
